The Hong Kong Tourist Board (HKTB) today announced its first global fan engagement program, “Hong Kong Super Fans,” to accelerate promotional efforts as part of the post-COVID tourism recovery plan -19 which he has developed over the past year.

In its latest program, the HKTB invited Super Fans – people with a genuine connection to Hong Kong – to participate in exclusive online and offline activities designed to showcase the best of the city. Once international travel is allowed again, these super fans will be invited to explore Hong Kong in all its glory, from heritage attractions to hidden local gems and exciting new events and share their experiences with friends and family. To show its appreciation, the HKTB will also organize a series of attractive offers and incentives that can be enjoyed by everyone.
The HKTB recruited Super Fans by invitation in Hong Kong and in 20 key markets through HKTB’s global offices in Asia, Australasia, Europe, Africa, Middle East and the Americas. This week saw the launch of the program’s first activity – a virtual tour celebrating all that is unique about the Chinese New Year ringing in Hong Kong – organized especially for the very first Super Fans. The trip took participants through the charismatic district of the central Old Town to learn about cherished traditions and shop for auspicious essentials, while enjoying a pre-delivered ‘good fortune bag’ filled with door ornaments. -happiness, festive snacks and more in the comfort of their own homes.
